This role is a 12-month contract at 800-850 + Super per day, Sydney based whereby you'll work in the office 2-3 days per week. 

You must have PR/ Citizenship for this position.

The Role

My client is a major Big 4 Bank who is looking for a Data Modeller/ Data Engineer to design and implement data models across various data platforms within a regulatory environment. 

As part of this role you'll work closely with internal and external stakeholders, collaborating in a technical team to design and implement data models, delivering these schema design approaches/ techniques in accordance with best practice to ensure these are fit for purpose.

It's a highly complex environment whereby you'll be technically challenged and get to deliver value-adding solutions.

Required Expertise:

• 8+ years total experience across data modelling, solution design, development, data warehousing, ETL, etc.
• 3+ years experience within big data and designing and implementing data models in this environment using modelling approaches and techniques such as Dimensional Modelling on top of Star or Snowflake Schemas
• Experience with cloud platforms (ideally Azure, but open to other)
• Hands-on development experience and working skill level in Python, Scala, SQL, shell scripting and other programming/scripting languages
