NSW Local Government Organisation is seeking a talented HR Manager to join its Corporate Performance division. This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced HR professional to step into a leadership role where you’ll drive strategic HR initiatives, foster employee engagement, and lead a high-performing team.

The Role:

As the HR Team Leader, you will play a critical role in supporting managers, supervisors, and staff in delivering people-focused initiatives. Your leadership will be essential in developing the HR team’s capabilities and ensuring HR processes align with best practices and legislative requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide guidance and support to the HR team, ensuring efficient day-to-day operations and team development.
  • Deliver expert advice on employee relations, recruitment, learning and development, and performance management.
  • Work closely with senior management and stakeholders to drive engagement and deliver outcome-focused HR solutions.
  • Oversee and implement key HR projects, such as employee engagement initiatives, learning and development programs, and workforce planning.
  • Ensure HR policies and processes are compliant with legislative frameworks while fostering a culture of continuous improvement.

Key Requirements:

  • Degree or Diploma in Human Resources Management with extensive experience.
  • Deep knowledge of HR legislation with a demonstrated ability to implement employee relations initiatives that drive engagement and performance.
  • Excellent communicator with strong influencing skills, able to collaborate effectively with stakeholders at all levels.
  • Thrive on fostering a positive and engaging workplace culture, with a passion for people-focused HR solutions.
  • Champion the organisation’s core values and ensure they are reflected in all HR initiatives and team interactions.
