The Role

The purpose of this role is to provide financial control and all-round accounting support to the Group Financial Control team. The primary duties include:

Involvement in the Group interim reporting process for inclusion in Group ASX external reporting and monthly management reporting;
Preparing and reviewing consolidated primary statements and a number of report disclosures;
Maintaining the financial control processes for a number of corporate entities;
Providing month end support, posting journals, preparing balance sheet reconciliations and ad hoc reports as required;
Focus on systems implementation – Workiva and Workday;
Assist in the integration of the newly acquired Bank division;
Assisting with ABS returns, BAS returns, and other regulatory reporting; and
General support for the Group Finance function including participating in project work, Board reporting, accounting advice for deals and transactions and implementing new accounting standards.

 

Your background:

To be successful in this position, you must have:

Immediately available / short notice period
CA / CPA qualification
Experience working in Financial Services sector is essential
ASX listed reporting experience is desirable. 
Communication (written & verbal) and business engagement, people skills and stakeholder management
Statutory reporting experience including financial statement preparation
Understanding of consolidation accounting, including journal entries
Experience in identifying, assessing, evaluating and key financial controls in a finance function
Advanced excel skills, with the ability to analyse large volumes of data
