Senior Finance Analyst

A Senior Finance Analyst assists with the delivery of performance reporting, forecasting, planning and act as a business partner to stakeholders across an organisation.

Key responsibilities:

• Partner with and build strong relationships with the wider business and finance stakeholders to ensure that key initiatives remain in line with expectations and stay on track;
• Support the CFO and broader finance team in meeting the management reporting requirements for the group;
• Provide decision support services to the business by utilising strategic thinking and planning to support the delivery of accurate, timely and relevant performance information and insights to drive business decisions;
• Deliver accurate and insightful forecasting and planning in line with business goals;
• Report on financial performance of the company, provide insights and analysis to senior management and ensure the integrity of financial and management accounting processes;
• Provide financial control support, processing of month-end journals, P&L analysis and balance sheet reconciliation
• Demonstrate continuous improvement of Finance systems by embedding enhancements and building capacity for further analysis and analytics
• Provide ad-hoc analysis on the financial performance of the business

Typical requirements:

• Workday / Adaptive Planning model building experience highly desirable
• Accounting/finance related degree and/or studying towards accounting qualification advantageous
• Ability to build and foster relationships, and successfully influence outcomes
• Demonstrated experience in management reporting (e.g. planning, forecasting, performance reporting and analysis) and financial reporting & control (e.g. journal processing, procedure and policy development) advantageous
• Proven experience managing, implementing and embedding change including systems and processes
• Microsoft suite, Advanced Excel and modelling knowledge including the use of planning and forecasting tools such as Anaplan or Adaptive Insights and experience in data visualisation tools such as Tableau or Power BI
• Demonstrated project and time management skills
• Demonstrated analytical and business writing skills
