Mortgage Broker

A Mortgage Broker is responsible for assisting clients with obtaining home loans and other types of mortgage finance.

Typical Responsibilities:

  • Assessing clients’ financial circumstances and needs, and recommending suitable mortgage products
  • Preparing and submitting mortgage applications to lenders on behalf of clients
  • Negotiating mortgage terms and conditions with lenders
  • Providing ongoing support and advice to clients throughout the mortgage process
  • Building and maintaining relationships with lenders, real estate agents, and other industry professionals
  • Staying up-to-date with changes to mortgage legislation, market trends, and lender policies
  • Ensuring compliance with all relevant regulatory requirements

Typical requirements:

  • Certificate IV in Finance and Mortgage Broking (or equivalent)
  • Proven experience as a Mortgage Broker
  • Strong knowledge of the Australian mortgage market
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy
  • Good organisational and time-management skills
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously
  • Full Australian driver’s licence
