Our human resource team places Work Health & Safety and Occupational Health & Safety roles into Sydney’s leading businesses across all industries.

The candidate must have extensive knowledge of relevant OH&S legislation, insurance and Workcover, policies and practices as well as the competence in the application of them. The candidate will hold a tertiary qualification in Occupational Health and Safety.

Skills include well developed consultative, analytic and investigative skills and have demonstrated experience leading teams (more senior roles) and managing diverse stakeholders within the business to drive a health and safety culture.

Responsibilities include:

  • Develop, plan and implement OHS systems to enable the effective management of operational risks and undertake audits of work locations and/or processes & reviews to ensure compliance with companies OHS Management System/Policy, legislative, compliance and accreditation requirements and drive completion of resulting actions as required and identified.
  • Lead organisational initiatives which support reduction in workplace incidents and deliver positive return to work outcomes.
  • Lead and motivate staff to enhance collaboration, productivity, continuous improvement, innovation, safety and job satisfaction.
  • Consult, advise, guide and support managers and staff on a broad range of occupational health and safety matters.
  • Coordinate the OHS Committee meetings and regularly engage with OHS representatives on policy change, incident management and management action.
