Business Development Manager

A Business Development Manager is usually responsible for identifying and pursuing new business opportunities for a company within the banking industry. 

 

Typical Responsibilities:

  • Identifying and pursuing new business opportunities within the Australian banking industry
  • Building and maintaining strong relationships with clients, industry professionals, and internal stakeholders
  • Developing and executing effective sales strategies to achieve revenue targets
  • Conducting market research and staying up-to-date with changes to the banking industry landscape
  • Presenting and promoting banking products and services to potential clients
  • Negotiating terms and conditions of sales agreements and contracts with client
  • Preparing and submitting sales proposals and reports to internal stakeholders
  • Representing the bank at industry events and forums

Typical requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, finance, or related field
  • Proven experience as a Business Development Manager in the banking industry
  • Strong knowledge of banking products and services
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy
  • Good organisational and time-management skills
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously
  • Full Australian driver’s licence
