Our client is seeking a hands-on senior project manager for a multi-year market risk system consolidation program. You must have deep agile experience, acting as a scrum master, facilitating agile ceremonies and coaching the team on agile methodology. 

 

Working alongside the Product Owner, you'll steer the teams towards achieving milestones. Responsibilities include overseeing end-to-end project management, ensuring timely delivery within scope, budget, and quality standards.

 

Key Duties:

  • Lead Financial/Market Risk projects from start to finish, ensuring adherence to timelines, budgets, and quality benchmarks.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders such as risk analysts, regulatory experts, and technology teams to define project objectives and manage expectations.
  • Serve as the Scrum Master, guiding the team through Agile ceremonies and fostering collaboration.
  • Utilise market risk expertise to assess project risks, devise mitigation strategies, and ensure regulatory compliance.
  • Implement rigorous quality assurance processes and oversee testing to uphold accuracy and reliability standards.
  • Communicate project updates and risks to senior management and relevant stakeholders.
  • Coordinate internal and external resources to support project activities effectively.
  • Promote the adoption of best practices and tools to enhance project management efficiency.
  • Maintain thorough project documentation, including plans, status reports, and risk registers.
     

Experience Requirements:

  • Currently operating as a hands-on Senior Project Manager in financial services, with a track record of delivering Financial Risk and system integration projects.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead Scrum teams and drive outcomes.
  • Proficiency in Agile methodologies and previous experience as a Scrum Master.
  • Familiarity with credit risk, market risk, and prudential risk concepts, regulations, and best practices (desired).
  • Strong leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Ability to excel in a fast-paced, matrixed environment and manage multiple priorities effectively.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving capabilities, with meticulous attention to detail.
