After 11 years in the business, our trusted CFO has decided to retire in the first half of 2023. As a result, we are looking for a hands-on Financial Controller to join the T+O+M family! Overseeing a high quality, dedicated team, the Financial Controller will have overall responsibility for the financial affairs of the business.  

Responsibilities will include (but not limited to): 

  • Analytical support to the Executive leadership team, with a trusted ‘seat at the table’ supporting strategic decision-making 
  • Monthly management reporting 
  • Preparation of statutory accounts and primary point of contact with our external accounting firm (tax returns, FBT preparation etc) 
  • Quarterly and annual incentive/bonus calculation  
  • Oversee payroll and super payments for staff as well as on-site contractors 
  • Cashflow management  

The Financial Controller will also play an integral role in budgeting, forecasting, and support to the broader business management function.  The role is unique in its depth and breadth. It requires the ability and desire to be both strategic in nature and detailed in execution.  A working understanding of MYOB and Astute, together with strong excel skills, and attention to detail will really help achieve success in the role.  

We are open to background, experience in a professional services/sales environment would be helpful and can be crafted to suit someone who has ‘been there, done that’ and looking to transition to a less ‘corporate role’. There is also some genuine opportunity to take the role to the ‘next level’ and can be designed to suit someone in an earlier career stage, looking for the next step and to grow with the business. 

A down-to-earth and proactive attitude, whilst not taking yourself or life too seriously is a must!
