The Senior Change Manager is accountable for the design and delivery of Change Management solutions, integral in delivering sustainable changes and having a strategic impact on the business. Joining a digital squad, you'll be working on end-to-end digital delivery for a banking app.
This includes:
- identifying the appropriate change management strategy and business context;
- leading and managing the change management stream including the design, development and implementation of change management deliverables;
- managing stakeholder expectations at all levels of the organisation;
- working with the Project Manager and Product Owner to engage stakeholders and ensure business readiness;
- and working collaboratively with other stream leads to identify, understand and facilitate transition activities relevant to the scope and scale of business impacts resulting from the changes being introduced.
Change Management
- Think globally about the change and strategically selects the appropriate tools, methodology and models when facilitating change, in line with the organisation's strategy, structure, process and culture.
- Develop change plans and activities to enable key stakeholders support the project implementation.
- Identify barriers to the business initiative and develop change strategies/ plans and schedules to effectively overcome these barriers.
- Develop comprehensive ways of leading the change management effort through all stages of delivery and the customer lifecycle
- Manage and assess change impacts for: the enterprise heat map, the project and for any potential scope changes
- Measure and monitor adoption and success criteria, and facilitate reviews to obtain feedback to ensure a successful outcome. Use insights to enable further learning across the practice.
Stakeholder Management
- Collaborate with the Project Manager and other key leads. Seek inputs and feedback into the effectiveness of the Change Management Plan.
- Continually reassess the greatest area of resistance and blockages to focus engagement attention on priority areas.
- Actively co-manage with the Project/ Program Manager the risk and issue management process by identifying, reporting and managing change risks and resolving issues.
- Enhance Change Management capabilities by leading and/or contributing to continuous improvement activity and lifting skills.
- Assist in identifying suitable change agents and lead, educate, mentor them in the change process.
- Ensure key stakeholders receive a high level of support, are engaged and commit to the ownership of the change initiative.
Leadership
- Advocate the relevance of Change Management methodology, processes and practices across the enterprise, and to all levels of management.
- Act as a mentor to peers and Change Management resources to improve overall organisational Change Management capability.
- Mentor and manage team and provide 'hands-on' leadership as required.
- Enhance Change Management capabilities by leading and/or contributing to continuous improvement activity and lifting skills.
What you will bring to the role
Work experience
- Minimum 5 years in a change management role
- Exposure to financial services, working in large, complex environments, with experience in interacting with executive and senior management.
- Proven change delivery in Agile methodologies and agile operating models preferable
- Previous experience in digital delivery will be looked highly upon
Qualifications
- Tertiary qualification in business or related discipline
- Post graduate change certification
- Agile Certification i.e. SAFe desirable
