HR generalist

Our human resource team places HR generalist roles into Sydney’s leading businesses across all industries.

A HR generalist will typically have a post-secondary degree or certification in Human Resource Management. With a strong familiarity with handling employee relations, performance management and onboarding / offboarding; a candidate will typically have 2-4 years of experience.

It is expected that the candidate has strong knowledge of Australian Legislation such as Fair Work and National Employment Standards and has the ability to give advice and make decisions that align with the law.

Trending currently within the role, we are starting to see candidates who have owned organisational projects. These might include researching and supporting the business on diversity and inclusion targets and working closely with institutions to meet those targets and align on business goals.

Responsibilities include:

Partnering with business leaders to implement employee strategies and projects

Strong ability to build relationships across the business

Provide employee support, including but not limited to
Performance Management
Employee Relations: mediation, grievance resolution
Team Structures
Employment Changes

Ensuring compliance is followed across the company including company policies and ensuring they stay up to date with any changes to employment law and modern awards

Strong resourcing and recruitment skills including focusing on attraction and retention strategies and focusing on succession development

Supporting any organisational goals and engagement initiatives

Managing company HRIS

Reporting team and employee metrics including vacancies, turnover rates and attrition
